About Us

About Cynthia Nana Foundation

The Cynthia Nana Foundation was born from a journey of curiosity, connection, and compassion.

As an explorer at heart, our founder travelled widely, intentionally seeking out local communities, their lives, cultures, and everyday realities. In many of these places, she encountered a powerful truth: even in the midst of scarcity, there was beauty, resilience, and genuine kindness. These experiences planted a deep care for people often overlooked, especially children and women striving to survive with very little.

This care turned into action through years of hands-on support at Hope Eden Farm, a school and community project run by a German humanitarian. Supporting children’s education and witnessing the daily struggles of single mothers and widows revealed how life changing even the smallest support could be. A school fee paid, a meal provided, access to basic healthcare; each act created ripples of change far beyond what was expected.

The Cynthia Nana Foundation was established as a way to give back intentionally and sustainably. Our work focuses on ensuring children can stay in school, mothers can meet their basic needs, and families can access opportunities that restore stability and dignity. We believe that education, healthcare, skills training, and subsistence support are not privileges, they are foundations for a better future.

Our Vision

To see inner-city communities thrive and where children are consistently nurtured, educated, and protected, and where single mothers and widows are empowered to live stable, dignified, and fulfilling lives.

Our Mission

The Cynthia Nana Foundation is committed to providing holistic support to children, single mothers, and widows in under served inner-city communities. Through education, vocational training, health outreach, food support, and community development initiatives, we aim to strengthen families, restore hope, and create sustainable opportunities for their long-term well-being and independence.

What We Do

Education Scholarship

Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty. Our scholarship programme supports children from underserved inner-city communities by covering school fees, learning materials, uniforms, and related educational needs. By keeping children in school, we help nurture confidence, stability, and future opportunity.

Vocational Training & Economic Empowerment

We empower single mothers and widows through vocational skills training that enables them to earn sustainable incomes. This includes access to practical skills, basic business support, and tools needed to become financially independent and provide for their families with dignity.

Food & Subsistence Support

Many families face daily uncertainty around their next meal. Our support programme provides essential food items and basic necessities to vulnerable households, helping ease immediate hardship and allowing families to focus on education, health, and livelihood opportunities.

Health Outreach & Awareness

Good health is foundational to a stable life. Through community health outreach, we promote health education, facilitate access to basic medical services, and support preventative care initiatives aimed at improving overall well-being for children and mothers.
